TORLON® ~ polyamide-imide
Torlon® (polyamide-imide) exhibits exceptional physical and chemical properties. It can withstand continuous exposure at temperatures from 450ºF to 500ºF (230ºC to 260ºC). Torlon® resins provide better compressive strength and higher deflection temperature than most other high performance thermoplastics. Their low coefficient of thermal expansion and high creep resistance provide excellent dimensional stability over a wide range of temperatures.
Chemically, Torlon® resins are resistant to attack by aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated and fluorinated hydrocarbons and most inorganic salts and acid solutions.
