V-Seals
V-Seals are versatile, all-rubber rotary shaft seals designed to provide excellent protection against contaminants such as dirt, dust, water, and oil splashes. These seals are mounted directly onto a rotating shaft and seal axially against a stationary counter face—typically at a right angle to the shaft—such as a housing wall, bearing face, or other machine component.
How They Work
The flexible sealing lip of the V-seal maintains light contact with the counter surface while rotating with the shaft. As the shaft turns, the seal creates a dynamic sealing action that deflects or excludes contaminants while retaining lubrication within the system. Its self-adjusting nature ensures consistent sealing performance, even with minor misalignments or shaft wear.
